I took a short break since the end of last week till now doing nothing but faving and a comment here or there. I've been out to see my grandmother with the family and while I've been on the hiatus I had a lot of thinking to do concerning the relationship I was in. I came down to the fact that our relationship just kinda stopped from my view point but we've ended on good terms and remain friends.
I've also had some time to think about my life and where things are headed for me. I had once again put aside my spiritual beliefs as to not make waves and I've promised myself that I will not do that again, when I step off my path I am no longer myself. I've also decided its best to take a break from dating. There's still plenty of things I want to do before I settle down and I can't do them if my roots are planted firmly in the ground. This little seedling still has some traveling to do. I also need to buckle down and get my writing career going because books and articles don't write themselves.
I'm working on a novel with ideas for a second book already. I also recieved a job link from my aunt today about a position that will pay $50 an article (500-800 words) and I can write as often as I'd like and on topics that matter no more of this cosmetic SEO $5 an article if even that business. These topics can be animal care, healthy living, articles directed at people with dietary needs/changes such as going gluten free, and even women's rights. Tomorrow I will be focusing on writing my sample articles to submit to them (fingers crossed that I land this gig) If i were to write 2 articles a day I'd be making 2-3 times the amount I earn in a month as a substitute teacher. During my final week in houston I also started a few blogs through a blogging site that lets you earn points for your activity to later trade those points in for gift cards or to be paid into your paypal account. I'm only a few hundred points away from qualifying to receive $25 via paypal (although with the mini hiatus I took from here I took from my blogs as well).
And one thing I really wanted to have set up before I got involved in a relationship was my own place. I'm going to be doing just that this summer, it was in talk last year but this year we're working on getting the supplies together to build a small home on my aunt's property for myself. I wont be using this as an every day living place though, for now it will be used strictly as a retreat. Since my aunt's plan is to run an artists' commune/fantasy faire at her place we've decided to make my little house fit the part, we're going to build on top of a tree trunk that will be carved into a chicken's leg...any guesses? If you know the fairy tale of Baba Yaga and her moving hut then yes you've got it. At least that's the plan for now, it may not remain as baba yaga's hut but it will be in the trees. It will be about the size of a small studio apartment the living room will also serve as the bedroom, kitchen, and study and there will be a small bathroom. My aunt and uncle already have a spare kitchen sink so I have my sink, all I need now is a small cook top and mini fridge (which will sit under the cook top) and a commode. Instead of having a bed or a couch I'll just be using spare couch cushions (or ones my aunt will make me). I plan on using a bit of lace I've had stored for a while (from a failed engagement/wedding plans that never went through) as window dressings along with "bead soup" to create a curtain+sun-catcher effect. In a week or two I'll be going out to the property to look at the possible areas for my house and later we will start to put the support poles/beams up
